Better Photos: Aperture

It took reading the lesson twice (blame mom brain) and three sessions of trying to decipher whether or not the backgrounds of my photos were in or out of focus, but I got it. Big opening= small number= blurred background. Small opening=big number= sharp focus. Seeing as I am the queen of the extreme close-up, I imagine I'll be using a shallow depth of field (blurred background) for many of my pictures!
